VML TRANSLATIONS

Vicky Murrell-Lamar, Honours BA Translation, C. Tr. (French to English), is a professional and certified translator living in Ontario, Canada.

Vicky was born in England and immigrated to France during her adolescence where she spent over 6 years immersed in a francophone environment: here, she completed her secondary education and obtained both her French brevet and baccalaureate. In her twenties, she immigrated to Canada where her passion for languages only deepened while studying Ancient Greek in her first-year at university. She went on to study other ancient languages at the undergraduate and graduate level, including Biblical Hebrew, Aramaic and Middle Egyptian (more commonly known as Hieroglyphs). 

Vicky later returned to university to complete a professional degree in English and French translation and is a member in good standing of the Ordre des traducteurs terminologues et interprètes agréés du Québec (OTTIAQ). She has been actively working in the translation industry for over ten years.
